*Commission Information

Journal Entry: Fri Dec 8, 2006, 11:20 PM
  • Mood: Artistic
*Spooky Chan*-
1. Spooky- errie, and mysterious!
2. Chan - short for Chandra.

Please, SERIOUS buyers only!!!

:heart:1st- Obviously you've come to commission me because of my art work. Take note in what I do, what I don't do, and the type of styles I do. If you want a cell shaded Anime image, porn, furries, and other stuff like that, another Artist would be better suited for that kind of work.

1. Money must be paid up-front. (USA dollars, I accept pay-pal, if you need other options let me know.)

2. No revisions. Make sure your description is as clear and concise as possible; otherwise you will be trusting me to make artistic choices. If you must have a revision, I will charge you extra pending on what you need changed.

3. I work on an hourly rate of 20 dollars an hour. Before the commission begins, You will receive an invoice (excel file or html).  This invoice will have a breakdown of picture elements and their importance with associated time estimates for each.

4. I work on a case by case basis. The image’s complexity will determine it’s price.

5. Prices range from 15 to 200+ dollars.
(Price is determined by the time required to complete and the level of complexity (line art vs. ink, headshot vs. full body, basic vs. detailed background, etc. Be prepared to spend well over 60 bucks and up for a good image. However, I do a special 15 dollar head shot, see bottom for details.)

6. Once the image is complete, two JPGs (100% size, 25% size) of the finished color image will be emailed to you.

7. About prints and originals- This cost is extra, plus shipping. Also these will be handled on an individual basis.

8. Paintings? I prefer not to do paintings due to the fact they are time consuming, personal, and expensive. If you want me to do a painting for you, be ready to give me complete control and be ready for a price tag of 500 dollars and up.
I do fine art pieces (See types of images for examples.)
NOTE: I don't do caricatures or portraits (I'd need you in my studio for that).

 When ordering make sure you give me as many details as you want to see in the image. Also if you’re ordering on a budget, let me know how much you are willing to spend and I’ll work with you to get a price package that will fit your price range (note: it might be limited at the low range.)

Consider these things when writing your description-
Headshot
Full body
How many characters
Color (Character, Background)
Inked Line Art
+Simple background (design/abstract elements)
+Detailed background  (simple location)

:heart:Types of Images-

 Black and Whites- consist of pencil drawings, finalized are done in Ink using micron pens.

Example of Pencil and Ink Comparison-

 Color- I do all of my coloring in Photoshop. This means there isn't a real image that exists in color unless it's a print of the digital coloring.

Example of Pencil + Photoshop-

Example of Ink + Photoshop -

Examples of 100% Photoshop (Not Available, just an example)-

 Types of Backgrounds-
Simple/Abstract Design elements

Actual background

 Paintings- I use acrylics and canvas (pre-made, or personally stretched pending on what's needed.)

Examples:

$$$  15-Dollar Special   $$$ -
This is for those of you who can't afford my hourly rated work, but would like to have something done by me. I do head shots (pencil only, and limited complexity.)

Example:

 Remember it’s nothing personal, it’s just business.
I’m sorry if things seem restrictive, or more expensive then other people’s rates, but I’ll be giving you something others can’t, which is my art work and my time. Again I only ask for serious patrons only.

Sound like I’m your artist gal?
Then it’s time to email me!
:email: email: witchycrankypoo@gmail.com

Thank you for your interest and time.

-Chandra Free

If only I wasn't poor. How long do you think you'll be taking commissions? (i.e. will you taking more next month or in a few months, or do you have plans to be busy after you fill your slots up this month?) I may have a few extra bucks to spend at some point, but I can't really be sure enough to tie my money to anything right now. Anyway... best of luck! I'm sure your slots will sell out in no time. =)

Excellent! Sounds like good stuff. Well, if you've still got spots and my extra paycheck for December isn't completely used up, I'll see if I can't squeeze out enough for something. Only time will tell just how many inanimate objects my wife and I will have to eat before the bank account allows us to again eat actual food... but that's just part of the adventure of life! Right?

... please say right.
