So this image was done about 2 months ago. It was done in response to the fact client work has eaten up a lot of my time. I look at this image, in it's rawest of forms and I sink. It's emotion is there...and my emotion was there too. I was going through a really bad depression and this was my response to my own isolation (mentally) --searching for an answer...searching for me in the darkness...searching...

Here's what I originally wrote about this on Tumblr (where it's been hiding from you guys for awhile..sorry about that):

This image feels so good to do. All i’ve been doing lately is client work. Which when I do work for hire, it takes most of the life out of my lines and the painter in me steps up and just completes it. Super polish, I guess? (i don’t know how to explain this better… )

This— this is far more raw, emotional, loose, yet playing with some painting techniques.

I just needed to remind myself that i’m still in me. I’m more than a machine in the machine, that I exist. What better way of expressing that through these two sad ghosts…
